Delhi High Court Announces 2023 Vacation and Holidays
The Delhi High Court has released the list of holidays for the year 2023, which includes several national and regional holidays such as New Year’s Day, Republic Day, Holi, Independence Day, Diwali, and more.
Delhi High Court Summer Vacation Holiday 2023
Summer vacation from monday, 12th June to Friday, 30th June (both days inclusive)
Winter Vacation from Tuesday, 26th December to Saturday, 30th December (both days inclusive)

Notes:-
- *Saturday falling on 15th July and 2nd December have been kept as alternative Court sitting days in the event of declaration of any unforeseen holidays. The cases fixed on such unforeseen holidays may be taken up on these days or as may be notified. However, the cases wherein orders/judgments are reserved shall be taken up on the next working day immediately following the date, which has been declared as additional holiday.
- Holidays common to the High Court and Courts subordinate to it have been shown in half red and half green squares and those shown in red squares will be observed exclusively by the High Court.
- All sundays and second saturdays have been shown in red colour. Local holidays i.e. 2nd & 3rd Jan, 31st Mar, 1st & 3rd Apr, 25th, 26th & 27th Oct and fourth Saturdays, as shown in red squares, will be observed exclusively by the High Court. 29th & 30th Sept, 23rd Oct, & 14th Nov will be observed as Local Holidays by the High Court and the Courts Subordinate to it.
- The High Court will remain closed for summer Vacation from Saturday, 3rd June to Friday, 30th June (both days inclusive) and for Winter Vacation from Tuesday, 26th December to Saturday, 30th December (both days inclusive)
- The subordinate courts (except the courts of metropolitan magistrates) in Delhi will remain closed for summer vacation from Monday, 12th June to Friday, 30th June (both days inclusive) and for Winter Vacation from Tuesday, 26th December to Saturday, 30th December (both days inclusive).
